Userful targets new partnerships, regional expansion

What products and services is your firm showcasing at GITEX?

Mohammad Salameh: Userful will showcase its industry leading video communication solution, the Visual Networking Platform (VNP), a software-based, AV-over-IP architecture that centrally manages all video and visual communication throughout an entire organisation. The VNP’s portfolio of products include Userful On-Premise — a solution that provides a more secure and high-performing deployment, ideal for control rooms and mission critical applications, as well as Userful Cloud — a direct-to-smart-display solution that eliminates all hardware needed and streams content directly from the cloud to the displays.

All the products in the Visual Networking Platform are tailored to meet the central management needs of corporate IT departments as they integrate a diverse range of complex AV applications over IP networks.

How do your products stand out from the competition?

Salameh: In an industry dominated by hardware solutions, the disruption of software has driven the operational and investment overhead down significantly. The Visual Networking Platform is a flexible, manageable, scalable, robust, easily deployed and centrally maintained software-based technology that reduces the total cost of ownership of AV systems, and gives full administrative control to IT teams, but allows users to manage the content, letting IT staff focus on high priority tasks.

VNP supports all visual assets in the enterprise — from digital signage, to office and dashboard displays, conference room and collaboration video walls, control rooms and network operation centres, factory floors, retail spaces and more.

An organisation can deploy all their visual communication with a single platform, reducing the learning curve associated with multiple technology vendors. Its central management capabilities give full control of multi-site, multi-purpose deployments to the corporate IT team, increasing security, privacy, performance and even elevating corporate branding and content distribution efficiency.

What’s more, the Visual Networking Platform is based on standard PC and network architecture — technology that is second nature to IT teams. This means that deployment, troubleshooting, management and refreshment cycles (among other activities) are just like any other they perform on a daily basis.

Ultimately, Userful Cloud is the first direct-to-display advanced video wall solution — eliminating the need for media players, video wall controllers, extenders, encoder/decoders, etc.

What is your company looking to achieve by attending the show?

Salameh: Userful is growing at a very rapid pace—just recently we were named one of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in North America by Inc. One of our key expanding grounds is the Middle East region, personified by the recent opening of our Dubai office. By attending GITEX we’re solidifying our commitment to the region, as well as providing our prospective partners and customers the opportunity to experience our products.

What is the size of your operation in the Middle East? (How many staff and offices do you have?)

Salameh: Although Userful has a strong presence in the Middle East in terms of partnerships and customers, the Dubai office is the first in the region. Userful plans to continue strengthening our presence in the Middle East through the cultivation of rich partnerships and the expansion of additional locations across the entire META region.

Are you looking for additional channel partners in the local market?

Salameh: Channel partners are a key component to our business so we are committed to establishing relationships and partnerships as they are vital to our company’s growth. One of the main goals of our expansion into the local META market is to seek new partnerships, while strengthening the existing ones. We have a strong channel program that is ready to support our partners. This includes an amazing partner portal that gives partners the foundation to succeed and thrive as system integrators.

Which industries are you looking to target with your products and services?

Salameh: The target audience for our suite of products consists of enterprise IT departments, CIOs, CTOs and channel partners within the AV industry as they will benefit most from the Visual Networking Platform’s technology. The architecture allows organisations in all industries, ranging from telecommunications to transportation, to take maximum advantage of the Visual Networking Platform to deploy their multi-site, multi-purpose visual communication displays improve operating efficiency while reducing TCO.

Userful is exhibiting in Sheikh Rashid Hall, Stand Sr-16.
