Positive Technologies, a cybersecurity company specialised in telecom security, is eyeing the Middle East region for expansion.

Registered in Switzerland, the company operates globally with offices in the UK, Italy, Czech Republic, South Korea, Russia and Brazil.

The company’s flagship Telecom Cybersecurity Suite was developed over a decade ago and is currently being deployed by several telecom operators in the world. It is designed to help telecom operators drive business performance while protecting subscribers from emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Michael Downs, managing director, Positive Technologies, EMEA said, “Our interest in expanding to the Middle East region comes in line with our global strategic plan to reinforce our position as a global leader in the telecom security industry.  We are very excited to enter the Middle East region as we see it is a very progressive and exciting market. We believe there are great opportunities for Positive Technologies to share its vast knowledge in the field and support the transformation of some of the most ambitious economies as well as some of the most advanced countries in the implementation of digital technologies around the globe.”

Positive Technologies is an active member of the GSMA, for which it provides insight as one of the few security vendors in the GSMA's Fraud and Security Group. Its researchers often speak at GSMA events, share experience, and participate in shaping industry guidelines, while also advising other telecom organisations such as the ITU (International Telecommunication Union), run by the UN (United Nations).

Clients in the Middle East region include mobile operators in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, among others.
