Student Week was the result of Ericsson’s 5G and IoT use cases competitions
Seventeen students from Oman, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia have spent a week at Ericsson’s head office in Kista - Stockholm, Sweden as part of ‘Student Week’.
The Student Week was the culmination of Ericsson’s 5G and IoT use cases competitions held alongside operator partners Omantel, Zain Iraq, and Mobily, targeting engineering students from various universities. The winning students were then invited to visit Ericsson’s headquarters in Sweden.
Student Week enabled students to meet and collaborate with industry experts with a focus on 5G and Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
As well as training, coaching, and the opportunity to meet with experts, the participants also took part in a range of interactive workshops and presentations on the topics of 5G, IoT, Ericsson Mobility Report, Sustainability, Brand, Innovation, and Future Factories to name but a few.
Other highlights included the opportunity to spend time in the Ericsson Studio, a glimpse into the planning behind Sweden’s Dubai Expo 2020 pavilion, and group outings to technology companies such as Hewlett Packard Enterprises and Intel.
