DVCOM and DrayTek award partners at annual contest
Al Munir Computers takes home top honours at DrayTek Channel Champ 2019
Dubai-based Al Munir Computers is the DrayTek Channel Champ for 2019.
The IT services company was awarded the title at the recently concluded 7th edition of the DrayTek Channel Champs.
The ceremony is organised annually by Taiwan-based networking products vendor, DrayTek, in association with their master distributors in GCC, DVCOM Technology. This year’s competition commenced on 3rd February 2019 and concluded with the award ceremony on 12th June 2019. In total, eight awards were awarded for the night.
The event is focused on system integrators and network solutions providers in the MEA region. Every year, DrayTek identifies its best associates to nurture and encourage through this event while providing all participating entities with opportunities to transform their business models and find value-added partners and enterprising associates.
DrayTek also unveiled some of its latest networking devices with live demonstrations at the event. The Vigor2620LTE, an LTE and ADSL/VDSL router with dual SIM support for 3G/4G/LTE cellular connectivity offering speeds up to 150 Mbps was unveiled for the first time. It offers 2 VPN connections for remote access and LAN-to-LAN connectivity.
Another router launched at the event was the Vigor2915ac, a dual-WAN security router for better load-balancing or redundancy management. Equipped with 16 concurrent VPN tunnels including up to 8 SSL VPNs, it offers bandwidth management and QoS for VoIP.
Attendees also witnessed the unveiling of an all-new appliance, the Vigor3910 Series. The giga-speed multi-WAN security device is equipped with 8 LAN/WAN configurable ports (2x10G SFP+ & 2.5GbE & 4x1GbE) and 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports.
DrayTek also launched two new switches at the event, the AP903 and VigorSwitch P2500. The AP903, a 5-port 11ac mesh AP switch with concurrent dual bands offers a data rate up to 867Mbps in the 5GHz and up to 400Mbps in the 2.4Ghz variants respectively. The VigorSwitch P2500 is an L2 Managed Gigabit Switch with 44 Gigabit PoE capable ports, 4 combo Gigabit SFP/RJ-45 ports and 2 SFP ports with a PoE power capacity up to 405 watts.
DrayTek’s latest wall plug, AP802 was also unveiled at the event. With a concurrent dual-band, the plug supports 2x2 11ac, repeater mode and plug-n-play meshing. Lastly, the AP1000C tri-band 11ac Gigabit AP was showcased. With a concurrent tri-band: Dual 5Ghz 11ac + 2.4Ghz 11n, 2100M 11ac, it offers plug n play MESH WiFi up to 8 APs/ 3 hops and 2GbE ports including 1 PoE and a built-in RADUS server for 802.1x authentication.
