Yealink plans to cement partner training initiatives in GCC

Vendor teams up with regional VAD DVCOM Technology to grow business in the regional channel.

Yealink and DVCOM have decided to up the ante in partner training and certification schemes in the GCC.

Communications equipment vendor Yealink has said it has started to reinforce it partner training schemes for solution providers in the GCC.

According to the company, it has teamed up with authorised VAD DVCOM Technology to ramp up partner training and certification schemes.

Renjan George, managing director, DVCOM Technology, said the company has been working with Yealink for almost a decade in the GCC region and the alliance has been a successful one. "When we started Yealink had only IP Desktop phones and from there on, they have expanded their range of business devices to include wireless IP DECT phone options, table top audio conference speakerphones and video collaboration and cloud-based solutions, delivering best-in-class, high-quality, feature rich and easy-to-use solutions and products to improve collaboration efficiency and productivity," he said.

Consequently added George, Yealink and DVCOM have decided to up the ante in partner training and certification schemes in order to prepare and equip partners for the anticipated business growth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market.

He said currently, Yealink has a three-tiered channel programme for channel partners based on solution provider's business commitment and staff certification. "We are offering a comprehensive training programme with different modules for the sales, pre-sales and engineers of our partners after which the trainee will attend an online exam with a minimum pass percentage of 80% to obtain a certification," he explained. "In addition, we protect and support partners by providing them an online registration portal where they can lock their project with us."

George explained that following Yealink's recently launched new Microsoft Teams audio and video endpoints and the Yealink Management Cloud Service, the vendor's business has been growing irrespective of competition, challenges and the prevailing market conditions.

He said there is two important factors that are driving DVCOM's Yealink business growth. "First, Yealink independent research and development, and innovation to pursue its core mission of ‘easy collaboration, high productivity'," he said. "Second, is Yealink's independent research and development, innovation and strong relationships with big name vendors such as BroadSoft, and Microsoft.

George pointed out that over the last three years, DVCOM's Yealink unit shipments have grown by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20%. He added that since Yealink UC solutions work on open standards, it gives flexibility to work with any system an organisation might have in place. "With an outstanding technical patents of cloud computing, audio, video and image processing technology, Yealink has built up panoramic collaboration solutions for audio and video conferencing by merging its cloud services with a series of endpoints products," he said.
