SWIFT, FACE for Children Association to protect children in Egypt
SWIFT will support FACE for Children Association to improve the care of 50 Egyptian children
SWIFT, a provider in secure financial messaging services, will support the FACE for Children Association to improve the care and nutrition of 50 Egyptian children living without parental care in Benha.
As part of SWIFT's Corporate Social Responsibility, it announced it aims to reduce the number of street children living and working on the streets of Cairo. SWIFT will offer outreach and basic health and nutritional services and vocational training services.
Khaled Moharem, head of Middle East & North Africa at SWIFT, said: "SWIFT is pleased to support the excellent work that FACE is carrying out to improve the lives of the children at the Benha Centre. The donation will provide care for under privileged children and promote their reintegration into society."
Flavia Shaw Jackson, founder and executive director of FACE for Children in Need, added: "The SWIFT donation will be used for our Benha home for children to continue protecting children who have found themselves without parental care, including orphans and abandoned children. FACE supports them with their basic, health, educational and social needs. This donation will significantly help the lives of these children."
The project will last a year and will support the Benha team in providing high standards of physical, intellectual and emotional care as part of a wide range of services including healthcare, nutrition, medical care and hygiene, access to culture and leisure, and access to social workers specialised in family placement.
