The fourth annual GOV HR Summit will open tomorrow at Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

The event, which is organised by Dubai-based QnA, will play host to senior level officials from government and semi-government organisations, to discuss issues around human resources for the public sector.

The two-day summit is taking place on the theme of ‘Creating a Breakthrough in People Performance', and will include sessions on HR, talent strategy operations, engagement and productivity, digital transformation and adapting to change, capability gap, workforce optimization, attracting Arab women into the workforce, competency and performance management.

The event will also include the GCC GOV HR Awards on 26th October, and a one-day masterclass, on 27th.

The masterclass will be led by Dr Linda Holbeche who was listed as one of the Top 40 Power Players in Personnel by Personnel Today since 2000 and amongst the top 10 HR Most Influential Thinkers by HR Magazine since 2008. The topic of the masterclass is ‘Creating a culture of employee engagement through developing engaging managers and leaders'.
